Pharmacy Technician (HS)
Job DescriptionScope of PositionResearch pharmacy technicians (RPTs), under the direction of a licensed pharmacist and in coordination with other RPTs, manage investigational product (IP) and provide technical direction and assistance with clinical trial protocols. An RPT may prepare or compound study medications for dispensing to patients, coordinate and deliver IP to pharmacies, infusion rooms, and clinics throughout the health system. Additionally, an RPT assists in compliance with The Joint Commissions (TJC) medication management standards, as well as FDA, GCP, USP , USP , USP , Ohio State Board of Pharmacy, and other regulatory bodies.
