The Pharmacy Technician will prepare, package, document, and label drug products under the direct technical supervision of the Pharmacist. Performs all required data entry and filing associated with the process and performs functions related to drug purchasing and inventory control procedures. Technician will participate in the Pharmacy Department Performance Improvement projects/programs and collect data for workload measurements as needed or required.

Essential Job Functions:

• Performs drug purchasing and inventory control. Stocks inventory and prepares area specific emergency/stock drug boxes and/or trays 0%
• Completes all necessary documentation as required by law/policy, including tracking documentation for inventory control, and workload measurement 0%
• Accurately and thoroughly prepares, manufactures, packages and labels drug products. Performs the technical functions associated with institutional drug distribution systems 0%

Required Qualifications:

• California Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration License or Pharmacy Intern Registration Certificate
• California Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration Certificate

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree or certificate from an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program
